How consent works on SMCM

When you first visit, a banner offers Accept all, Reject all and Manage preferences. Nothing non-essential is set before you choose, and no option is pre-ticked. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie Preferences" in the footer. Our consent controls also signal your choice to Google using Consent Mode.

The categories

• Necessary — always on. Small items stored in your own browser (localStorage): smcm-consent-v2 remembers your cookie choice and smcm-theme remembers light/dark mode. They identify nobody and are not sent to us.
• Analytics — off until you enable it. Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to count visits and show us which content helps traders. It loads only after you enable this category, and only on the live site.
• Marketing — a control, not a tracker. This category exists in the consent controls, but SMCM currently deploys no advertising or remarketing tags — so enabling it activates nothing today. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first.

What we never do

• No advertising pixels (no Meta, TikTok or similar).
• No selling of personal data.
• No tracking before you consent.

If you follow a link to a third-party provider, that provider may set its own cookies on its own site under its own policy — that happens after you leave SMCM.

Managing cookies elsewhere

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site keeps working. Clearing this site's data resets your consent choice, and the banner will show again. For what the data is used for and your rights, see the Privacy Policy.
