Privacy Policy

Who is responsible for your data

The controllers of personal data processed through SMCM (smcm.io) are Yakir Malka and Gal Malka, two individuals based in Israel who operate the Site jointly under the SMCM brand name. For any privacy question or request, email privacy@smcm.io.

What we collect

• Analytics — only if you consent. If you enable Analytics on the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 collects usage data (pages viewed, approximate region, device/browser type, traffic source). If you reject it, it is not loaded. We use no advertising pixels or trackers.
• Messages you send us. The contact form opens your own email app to send a message to contact@smcm.io, so we receive whatever you choose to include (typically your name, email address and message).
• Server and security logs. Our hosting and network providers record standard technical data (such as IP address and request details) to serve and secure the site.
• Your on-device choices. Your cookie choice and light/dark theme are stored in your own browser (localStorage) and are not sent to us.

Quiz answers stay in your browser. Trader Fit Quiz answers are processed on your device to show your result; they are not stored by us and are never sent to providers. The newsletter is not live yet and collects nothing. SMCM has no user accounts, collects no payments, and never asks for brokerage credentials, government ID or financial account details.

How we use it

• To understand which content actually helps traders (analytics, only with consent).
• To read and reply to messages you send us.
• To keep the site running, safe and abuse-free.

Sharing and processors

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the service providers that run the site: Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (network and email routing for our inbox) and, if you consent to analytics, Google (GA4) — each under its own terms. Clicking a provider link takes you to that provider via a short redirect on our site; we send providers no personal data — once you land on their site, their own terms and privacy practices apply.

Some of these processors are US-based, so data may be processed outside your country; transfer safeguards are being confirmed as part of legal review.

How long we keep data

• Contact messages: up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction (longer only if needed for a dispute, security issue or legal requirement).
• Analytics (GA4): 14 months.
• Server/security logs: around 90 days, per provider defaults.

Your rights

Depending on where you live and which law applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, to withdraw consent (for example via Cookie Preferences in the footer), and to complain to a supervisory authority. Email privacy@smcm.io and we will handle your request under the law that applies to you. We also honour reasonable requests voluntarily where no specific law requires it.

Children

The site is intended for adults aged 18+ and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children's data.

Changes

If we materially change this policy, we will post a prominent notice (and renew consent where the law requires). Each version shows its effective date. See also the Cookie Policy.
